Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club has an active Past Players and Supporters Group that forms a vital link between the great players and characters of the past and the club of today. Old mates can get together to celebrate their glory days and to share the stories that are a part of the Hawk’s history.
John Tunstall and David Murrihy, both premiership players with Boronia, are the co-ordinators of the PP&SG, and they publish regular newsletters and arrange the annual Past Players Day at the club. The PP&SG also sponsor three annual awards, including the Rising Star Award for players under 21, to recognise and encourage the young talent coming through the development pathway from the Boronia Juniors.
The PP&SG have also recently been announced as the inaugural 2018 sponsor of the Hawk Squad, made up of the Under 17 Ray Lacey team and the Under 19 David Murrihy team, working together to develop overall footy excellence and improved pathways to senior football.
All past players and supporters are encouraged to join the group.
