The Dev Men are off to Walker Park again this Sunday to battle their way through to the Grand Final.
Finishing top of the ladder at the end of the home and away season, they now face off against East Burwood who finished second rung in a fight to secure a spot in the big dance.
Congratulations to all of our juniors who enjoyed themselves and played some great footy throughout the year.It was a very successful year on and off the field, with three teams making grand finals and the Under 14 Boys and Under 16 girls winning premierships.
We would like to recognise the club award winners, while remembering that their teammates, coaches and volunteers all contributed to the overall success of the Junior Hawks in 2023.
Congratulations to the Coaching Team for our Women’s Squad at Boronia Hawks who have all contributed so much to the 2023 Division 1 Premiership.
They have created a close-knit environment for our players to develop their footy, fitness and friendships.
A special shoutout to Ray Lacey and Scott Nicholas who have been leading the team since our startup in late 2017, preparing for our first season in 2018. Who would have thought a premiership would result only a few years later when it took half a season to score the first goal!
Congratulations and thank you to Coach Scott Nicholas and assistants Ray Lacey, Brad Slater, Candyce Wright, Erin Stanios, Jordan Granland, Lachy Watson, Nicole Guy and Tim Cavanagh.
Congratulations to Rachel Slater for being awarded the Blue Ribbon Medal for her outstanding Best on Ground performance in the Division 1 Grand Final.
Despite a heavy tag, Rachael’s performance proved to be decisive in a tight contest. According to Premier Data she had 24 disposals, 16 contested possessions, 6 marks (inc. 5 intercept marks), 4 clearances, 11 inside 50s, 7 tackles, 1 gamebreaking goal and 163 Ranking Points.
Congratulations Rachael on a great game to cap off your season!
