Boronia Football Club is pleased to field a very successful Vets team that has won 3 EFL premierships in 2007, 2008 and most recently in 2011. The Vets is a great way for players to stay involved with the club, to keep fit and to still enjoy all the mateship that footy offers.
Past, present or prospective players who were over 32 years of age on 1 January are eligible for the 2016 season and are very welcome to pull on the boots. Vets training starts on Wednesday 3 February at Chandler Park. The go to man for Boronia Vets is Greg Krenn.
All current, past and prospective players are cordially invited to preseason training in the lead-up to the 2016 season.
Training for seniors, reserves, U19’s and Vets will be held at the Hawks Nest at Tormore Reserve starting at 6:00pm sharp. We will be training every Monday and Wednesday nights until the end of the cricket season.
Any new or former players interested in having a run will be very welcome and all supporters are always encouraged to come along.
Please send a message to our Facebook page if you have any questions.
Congratulations to our very own Hawks Nest Coterie Member John McLeod who received the “Local Hero” award in the 2016 Knox Australia Day awards. John thoroughly deserves this recognition for his enormous service to the Boronia community.
